The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, August 25 reveals Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be suspicious, when she sees Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) shaking hands with her mom.
Also coming up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will try to reason with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Plus, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will plan a vacation with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). And Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will discuss medicine with Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox).
Y&R spoilers tease Jack will tell Diane that Billy will never forgive him if he made a deal with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). “If Billy loses Chancellor and blames me for it,” he’ll say. “He may cut me out of his life forever.” Diane will suggest they take a romantic getaway somewhere and Jack will like the idea.
But he’ll tell his wife he did promise Nikki he’d be there for her son. “Are you saying doing a favor for Nikki is more important than spending time alone with me?” Diane will ask. But Jack will say it’s not a favor for Nikki, it’s a favor for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Y&R Daily Scoop – Diane Suggests Lily Take Offer Directly To Billy
Talk will turn back to Chancellor and Diane will suggest he tell Lily to take her offer directly to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). “I agree with you,” he’ll reply. Diane will say if they leave it up to Billy, they can take off on a spontaneous adventure. “Billy can take care of himself and I can look after Nicholas once we get back,” Jack will reply.
At the park cafe, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will run into Kyle. She’ll say she’s been thinking about him and has a proposition. Then she’ll discuss the competition idea he and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) came up with in Paris. Kyle will ask her what her pitch is.
“Why not revamp the idea?” Victoria will reply. “I’d like to relaunch Vibrante, with your help, we can stage a battle.” Kyle will ask if she wants to further inflame the war between their families and say the idea sounds like it’s tempting fate.
“Why not, it’d be fun,” Victoria will reply. But Kyle will say she may be overestimating the publicity. “Are you afraid of a little healthy competition Kyle?” she’ll ask. However, Kyle will ask how Victor will react and Victoria will say she’ll deal with him.
Kyle will tell her he’ll consider the idea but has to run it by his father first. So, they’ll shake on considering a deal, just as Claire comes along. She’ll ask what’s going on and Victoria will say they were discussing a possible joint venture. Then she’ll take off.
At the ranch, Nikki will tell Victor she just visited Nick at rehab. Victor will say the fact that he reached out to her is an important step. “He made a request, before I left, one that gave me hope,” Nikki will add. “Nicholas wants to see you.” Victor will say he’ll be there first thing in the morning.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nikki Believes He Needs A Good Sponsor
“He’s going to need all the help he can get and that includes a good sponsor,” Nikki will tell him. Victor will ask if she’s referring to Jack, and he will not allow him to be their son’s sponsor. “When we reconciled, you told me your love for me was greater than your hatred for Jack,” Nikki will reply.
Victor will say he won’t go through with Nick, what he went through with her and Jack. Victoria will walk in and Nikki will tell her Victor’s refusing to allow Jack to be Nick’s sponsor. So she’ll ask for her opinion. Victoria will say it should be Nick’s call.
Meanwhile, Nate will invite Stephanie over to his place. She’ll tell him it’s been a joy to help him with his fresh start. Nate will ask to hear about her medical origin story. She’ll say she always wanted to help. “I believed everyone deserved a fighting chance.”
Nate will say for him it always seemed like a calling. He’ll add it feels lucky they crossed paths when they did. “It feels fortuitous.” They’ll share a bit of a moment, and Stephanie will jump up and say she needs to go.
Then Devon Winters (Bryton James) will show up and tell Nate he’s worried about how far Lily’s willing to go for Chancellor. “Do you think she should fight Billy’s claim?” he’ll ask. Nate will say he thinks she could lose. “What can we do to convince her to let it go?” Devon will ask.
Finally, Kyle will tell Claire he’s working on something with Victoria. “The Newmans and Abbotts working together, it’s just pretty odd to me,” Claire will say. “What’s the angle here?” So Kyle will tell her Victoria wants to reignite the Vibrante versus Abbott competition. “This plan, it wouldn’t be a sneaky way to get revenge on my family by using my mom, would it?” Claire will ask him.
